    Hello,

Is there a collection of publications that were motivated the page "The Science Behind the Site." I'm interested in understanding in more depth how classification aids in the understanding of galaxy formation and evolution.

There is a quantum leap between easy and hard stuff, and not much in between.

    Hard: Publications are in

An amazing resource is the NED Level 5 Knowledge Base: http://ned.ipac.caltech.edu/level5/ a collection of "review style" articles. They are often aimed at professional astronomers, so not for the faint hearted.

There is a wonderful review of Galaxy Morphology science on their by Galaxy Zoo friend Ron Buta: http://ned.ipac.caltech.edu/level5/Sept11/Buta/frames.html

(Note that I don't just like this review because it mentions and is positive about Galaxy Zoo's contribution to this field - even without that it would be great).
