    Just found this article about a star that passed by our solar system at a distance of about 52,000 astronomical units (0.8 light years) about 70,000 years ago. Luckily it wasn't closer or it may have disturbed the Oort cloud comets.

    Interesting! So close, 20 light-years now, and yet we can't see it, this dim red dwarf. Shows you how dim they are.
