The Green Pea has landed - in Antarctica

  • AvastMH by AvastMH

    Dear Zoo-Galaxians,

It's strange how so many projects in the Zooniverse find cross matching events and interests. So I thought of you all when a Green Pea was sighted in Antarctica (we don't know its exact location, but this site is nicknamed 'Ice Age' by the Peng-zooites)

Just another annoying sun-in-the-lens way of making life harder for penguin counters πŸ˜‰ But hey - who am I to say - you all are the experts! πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜„

The Green Pea has landed in - Oxford

The Physics Dept at Oxford University is busy working on their new Beecroft Building. The hoarding around the works has some interesting information about the department and I noticed a certain green article as I passed by it this morning on Parks Road (so it has plenty of passers-by):

Thanks Rick_Nowell πŸ˜„ I'm not an expert on these things (as you will have detected). The HV looks so much like a celestial frog to me - oops. I was very pleased to see that one of the great Zoo-Galaxian finds was featured so publicly πŸ˜ƒ

Please be informed, that once upon a time GZ volunteers had sighted a "penguin" in space! πŸ˜ƒ
They had nicknamed a galaxy as follows.: "Penguin galaxy"! In the below GZ blog post its picture is shown.:

And the winner is….. Arp 142 (The Penguin Galaxy), Aug 2013

What kind of "penguin species" is it anyway? πŸ˜ƒ
