I'm definitely not getting tickets unless I know who is giving a talk ! 😉
As for a ZooCon ! 😦 I'm not feeling too positive !

Conference details will appear here - http://europeanastrofest.com/conference
As for ZooCon, it might be case of doing it yourself,
- Have a vote here on what projects we would like talks on.
- Contact the projects (or Grant) and get them to arrange a date for the talks.
- Food/Dinner - we probably have to arrange ourselves.

Hmm, Jon Culshaw, a comedian and impressionist talking about exoplanets. Might be good, actually.

I last saw him at a Royal Astronomical Meeting (RAS) a few months ago and had a chat with him.

It would be nice to do but I can't take time out this year, which is a pity as it must be ten years or more since the first Zoo meet-up (not that I was there either). Whoever is there have a wonderful time!

There are no big names doing the lectures this year. As one Zooite said "Some people are more interesting in Star gazing than star-gazing" and they crowd out those who are actually interested in the astronomy.
We had seven people for a pub lunch. EDIT: and two more volunteering in the information stalls so couldn't come.Posted

I think Stuart Clark might be open to suggestions, as to which topics could be talked about.
Alan Chapman always draws a large crowd.
