How much data left

  • v3nom by v3nom

    1. How much data left in this season of GZ (roughly in percentage)? Today I classified few pictures for guys from Serengeti Snapshot and I noticed they have really cool progress bar, which shows that data is being classified pretty FAST!

    2. How many different pictures are subjected to classify in this season?

Last time I checked, we'd retired just less than a quarter of the ~300,000 objects in this version of GZ. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Does "retired" mean that you have enough classifications (for that particular image/object) that you are confident getting more classifications won't significantly change the (classification) result(s)?

I think so, at least this is how I understand vrooje's answer. It means that Galaxy Zoo is not going away any time soon! ๐Ÿ˜‰ Couple months ago I was orphaned by Project Andromeda, which disappeared shortly after initial release - 2 weeks later or so.
