Can anyone provide me with some information on how to recognize asteroids in the pictures?
I am sure this question had been asked before. Any helpful links to discussions or threads?
    Thanks for your help ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

http://www.galaxyzooforum.org/index.php?topic=3393.0 is the forum thread on the subject. Basically, especially with SDSS images, you want to look for the series of coloured dots that show the asteroid moved slightly in the time each image was taken (the three colours are not taken at the same time as with an ordinary camera). It may be trickier to spot them in the Hubble images, depending on how those were taken.
