Green, yellow, and red; huh?

Is the small red dot an #artifact? or a #foregroundstar? Is the greenish blob part of the galaxy (e.g. a #starformingregion), or part of the artifact? Is the yellow blob the galaxy's #bulge/nucleus? or also part of the artifact? or another foreground star?
