High speed galaxy?

  This object appears to have a leading and trailing edge as well as a highly disturbed interior. Looks like it's speeding towards the upper right corner. Comments/interpretations?

  This galaxy is definitely disturbed. As to which direction it is going that is not possible to determine from this image.

  If you zoom out - using SDSS Navigate - you'll see that the color distortion, which perhaps led cathcollins to her tentative conclusion (October 9 2012 1:27 PM), is also present on several neighboring objects. So that part may not be real, or not entirely real.

  I agree that it's a #distorted galaxy
