Central bulge

Is this a true merger? One could be the bulge, but what is the other ball/bulge? Could it be a star behind the spiral or is another galaxy. It just looks odd.

Merger for me ! 😃

And all the stars you see are from our own own galaxy, so they can never be behind the galaxies in these images.

Loose two armed spiral. A bright compact object next to nucleus,different colour and luminosity.
