Significance of colours in images of galaxies

Why does central spot appear as red on white, but spiral arms are green? Is this related to how the telescope sees the galaxy or to the galaxy itself?

Actually as it is noted in the comments, that's not a galaxy but a #star from our galaxy. the weird colours and shapes are all optical artifacts caused by imaging issues.
