The object on the right appears to be a galaxy, having a similar spectrum to the center galaxy, and being to nebulous to be a star. What is it?

It's a foregroundstar. The weird colours and shapes you see are all optical artifacts due to imaging issues. And they can't possible have the same spectrum. How did you conclude that they do?
