The very bright object on the left with the crazy spikes is a star in our own galaxy. The object in the center of the picture is what we want you to classify - that's a galaxy of it's own. It looks to me like either an edge-on or highly-inclined spiral galaxy, although it's hard to see it's structure in detail.
