What is trailing off this galaxy?

It looks like a barred spiral, but I don't understand what is up with the jet of stars it appears to be leaving.

It looks like we have a merger of two galaxies 😃
Here is the optical image of the same galaxy, the orientation is slightly different, but it is easier to make it out 😃
