What do you think about this ring around the brighter center? And can this be a pic of two galaxies merging?

The galaxy in the center of the image appears to have an inner ring. And it also looks like there is some interaction going on. I'd go for #merger.
it's much better visible in the optical image (image rotated/flipped)
