    The object

    Hi, I'm brand new to Galaxy Zoo. I was fascinated by this, and was rendered slightly clueless as to what it is...? Its a really consistent, intense colour, and quite straight/no unusual shapes. Any ideas if this is a galaxy at all?

    You image link seems to be broken, but I assume you are referring to the green line?

    That is a satellite trail. The images we are looking at, are in fact multiple images, taken in different colour filters and then stacked together. Satellites move quickly across the area we are imaging, so they only get captured in a single filter, in this case green 😃
