What is this exactly? its strange how thinks so far away can appear so much like the tiny thing we observe on earth, it looks like some sort of fungi or bacterial growth!

These are what we call artifacts - sometimes the telescope is misbehaving, or the filters are not correctly aligned, or just really bad observing conditions - and we land up with these artifacts. Just classify as a star / artifact.
