Extra (dark or reddish) nebula to the left.

I checked the coordinates and surprise surprise, these nebulae are in the Orion constellation.
See: http://talk.galaxyzoo.org/#/boards/BGZ0000004/discussions/DGZ00014el . The greenish nebula to the left looks like it might be Barnard's Loop.Posted

Are nebulae particularly common in Orion? I mean, besides the famous Orion Nebula itself?

Check out this image, DZM - we can see the constellation of Orion, the Orion Nebula, the Horsehead Nebula (just below the easternmost star of Orion's Belt) and Barnard's loop (the crescent to the left).

There is a lot going on here. Recently I checked the nebula images on GZ and there are a great number depicting a part of the Orion nebula, I decided to put them in one thread: http://talk.galaxyzoo.org/#/boards/BGZ0000001/discussions/DGZ00010vd
PS I learned a lot when studying this neighbourhood. I didn't know the Horsehead nebula was also in the constellation of Orion.
On the one hand I am surprised there are lots of images of the Orion Nebula and its neighbours on Galaxy Zoo, on the other hand, as there are so many, the surprise wears a bit off 😉PS 2 The white nebula down to the right is the Witchhead Nebula 😃
