Red/green galaxy

Does anyone have any idea why the center of this galaxy is red while the outer disk is green?

Hi. The picture is of a star in our own galaxy. It looks this way because of imaging problems with some nearby objects involving exposure, filters etc., so classify as 'artifact'. If you look on the SDSS Skyserver page using the link, it is labelled 'star'. GZ is interested in galaxies. There are numerous examples on this Talk site of this type of artifact, but I can't be bothered to locate them now (that's what the moderators are for). Seasons' greetings...

That's good to know, thanks! Now I won't misclassify these as galaxies.
