Yes it is. It would be visible in grey scale, no? There is a pronounced bump in rainbow but...

If it was a supernova, and thus not on Sky View I believe the region at 5 o' clock would be smaller. But it is still there, so it probably is a small starformation area in the smaller galaxy, maybe caused by a merger, or a passing-by. Either that or a faint foreground star.
