I think this is a star wth planetary disk.

The central core appears very large compared to the overall size. The object lower left is most definitely a star and is lower brightness. I find it very hard to see any justification for 'seeing' a spiral pattern at this resolution. The blackness of the surrounding sky suggests this isn't a long exposure deep field. The colour of the surrounding disk is very uniform, there is no evidence for striation or star forming patches here I think.

Hi stuart thomas, this is a galaxy. Many of these galaxies are too far away to see any structure. This is a CANDELS 2-epoch, and it should be long exposure like the rest, so I don't know why the background is black when they are usually so speckled.

It is apparently a high energy galaxy, as I can see my many references in NED. Something is going on in it, too bad it is so far away.
