Bright spots at end of Bar

  Intrigued by the 2 bright spots equidistant from the bulge at either end of the bar. They are visible on the Sky Server image as well so it is not just an artifact of this wavelength. Any ideas?

  Bright area or handles found at the end of bars are called 'Ansae' - have a read of the link to find out more information.
