This looks like a double elliptical galaxy system. I see no evidence of merger on the image I have to look at. However, I can't rule out early merger activity not evidenced on the exposure available. What do the "pros" think? Does anyone know where this galaxy pair is located and what are the other interesting characteristics such as distance, magnitude, spectral characteristics, etc.? Or, can someone direct me to a database where this information might be available?
