Dark area in nucleus causing a lens?

Is the dark area in the #nucleus causing a #lens or is this just an #overlay ?

Not a gravitational lens or an overlap - the dark area in the galaxy is an artifact caused by over saturation.

The object in the top right of the galaxy is most likely a foreground star.

Strike: [I don't think this is oversaturation aaron1138 I am puzzeled if the dot on the arm is a lens maybe caused by dark_area in nucleus]

The darker area in the center is indeed an optical artifact caused by oversaturation. The dot at 2 o'clock is probably a foreground star.
