Odd Marking

  The galaxy to the upper left of the center one in this image has an odd bluish marking in the center of it. Is that a problem with image data or is that something in the center of the galaxy?

  Hi @liamf222,

  That odd looking object is in fact a foreground star from our own galaxy. Very bright objects cause issues with the CCD camera. In this case - we would say the star is over saturated or over exposed.
