Lightsaber?

  What would that be on the left side of the photo. Is this just a light ray, or a photo error. When inverted, what is at the base of the beam? Looks like a light saber to me.

  That is an optical artifact - so you could call it a photo error 😃

  It is right on the edge of the CCD chip and it's common to find artifacts along the edges.
