The bright white, perfectly round object on the left (to the E) is a star, in our own galaxy; the one on the right (to the W) is the nucleus of a galaxy. The two are quite unrelated, except for being near each other 'on the sky'.
Here's the field in SDSS DR9, centered on SDSS J154445.12+093409.8 (a z_sp 0.098 'dead and red' galaxy):
