What are the blue dots in the picture?

    Does anyone know what the blue dots in the picture are?

    This is an Illustris sim (more on it in this GZ blog post, and links therein). The blue spots are (simulated) star-forming regions; they don't look much like the kind of star-forming regions you see in SDSS, say, or DECaLS images because of limitations in the simulation. Illustris, is, IMHO, one of the coolest GZ projects.
