  • Quantum Entangled by Quantum Entangled

    So I'm looking at the galaxies and I notice that many of the images have this really really bright and unusual-appearing object(s), LIKE the thing in the top right hand corner of this one.
    WHAT ARE THESE OBJECTS? I was thinking they might be an active galaxy or something, but does anyone know/have a theory as to what those are? Thank you very much.

    Hi Quantum Entangled and welcome to the Zoo

    The object in the top richt corner is a foreground star from our galaxy. The colours, spikes and weird blue centre are all optical artifacts.
