I would like to know if anyone could explain the blue object that seems to have dust trails leading to the center of the dominant galaxy in this frame?

The blue object is a star in our galaxy, and it's brightness has saturated the ccds to leave a black mark, The "dust trails" are diffraction spikeswhich are normal for bright stars.
