You can vaguely see 2 spiral arm patterns going vertically in the large center galaxy

I can see it as well. Did you invert it and see if the object above it was merging or is it just a potentially bright/close star/galaxy overlay.

Hi Keiyentai and welcome to the Zoo
The round white object in the centre of the image is a foreground star from our galaxy. So no merger going on with the spiral galaxy.
