White dwarf (new)

    On the SDSS of these galaxies is a white dwarf obj:1237655468600459552. The spectrum of it is really strange ! Its ra:231.95363 dec:1.46228.

    It's a really cool spectrum, isn't it?

    Not sure why the SDSS pipeline classified this as WDhotter, perhaps because the flux in the bluest pixel is so high (it's almost certainly an artifact of some kind)?

    Anyway, it looks to me like a typical DA (hydrogen only) spectrum; what's really cool is how broad the Balmer lines are, due to pressure broadening, due to the really high surface gravity.
