Small one and large one

I just started and I've notice both times there was the large blurry disk and the one merging was a small bright circular object.

The large blurry disk is a galaxy, and the bright round object is a star in our galaxy, photobombing the image. 😦
Other possiblities.
If it is small and bright, it may be a distant quasar,
If it is green, then it might be a supernova.
It it has very sharp edges, it may be an artifact, a cosmic ray hit.
