Don't know whats happening here, but something is. Looks like a starburst but there are no spectrums. Maybe something happened to the core. I just don't know. Anyone got an opinion ? Thanks

Did find a reference in Ned to outflowing gas of a starburst. Superwinds found in almost all infrared-luminous galaxies. So I think I have answered my own question.

When one uses 'Navigate' in SDSS and clicks on different parts of the main object, three different galaxies appear. Could this in fact be a triple merger?

Yes, that's certainly possible.
Also possible is that one of the galaxies isn't all that close, in physical space, perhaps even far in the background or foreground.
Also, there may be only two galaxies, but the interaction is so, um, violent that they seem to be more like three than two.
