I don't see a center object, like where a black hole is supposed to be

What is this, is it like a dead galaxy because there is no visible black hole or is it just space dust in a giant cluster

You do realize that we cannot see the black holes in the centre of the galaxies . We can only infer their existence by the effect they have on the stars and other matter.
And I'd classify this galaxy as a fuzzy irregular one ! 😄

Yep, a black hole in a distant galaxy would be much much less than a single pixel across -- so the central pixel of the galaxy contains the black hole and a lot of stars, gas and dust, which all outshine any unresolved void due to there being a black hole.
