Green object on the left side of the galaxy in SDSS and DECaLS a green star or maybe overlap? Are visually green stars possible? #apple

Yes stars can be green (=yellow star). Other known green objects include a green bean galaxy and green quasar. If it was transient there are also green supernovae and the more common green asteroid image, although usually accompanied by a blue image in DECaLS.
So, updated myself on green objects 😃 This one looks rather dim for a star or a quasar though, green beans are very rare and comparing it in SDSS and DECaLS it doesn't look transient, but maybe has a slightly different position.
So either;
-
overlap with high z galaxy
-
small tidal feature mixed with noise
-
it's Planet X, which seems the most logical choice right now 😃
