Purple/blue and red areas artifacts?

Nothing in NED / ADS, look rather non-artifact to me but ive been fooled many times before.

Ummm... um..um.... not sure. Maybe the photos are stacked, giving the artifact an usual see-through appearance.

(Galaxy above central galaxy, your image is from the central galaxy), SDSS seems a bit too pixelated for proper details but seems to have hints of the blue-purple and the red area as seen in DECaLS;

Do you happen to know of other 'camouflaged' artifacts because of stacked images? ( and to me still seems there are hints of the colours in SDSS)
Thanks!

I was thinking about the old stripe 82 data, where 40 images were stacked together. Passing asteroids were still visible but looked ghostly. I don't know much about image stacking in DECaLS.

number of images stacked in DECaLS, AGZ000bka8 but I need to learn FITS files to view them, and learning them is still 4th on my list.

Yeah same here, should use my laptop and then learn to process FITS files. New tricks but when learned would definitely make things alot easier when dealing with artifacts / transients etc. That's why I have this followed (page 2); https://talk.galaxyzoo.org/?_ga=1.244656832.476670387.1443719759#/boards/BGZ0000004/discussions/DGZ00026eu when I get to it.
As far as I can tell from data / looking at number if exposures all exposures are used in one image. Except that would be strange since asteroids are usually clearly visible, no strange stacking effects...
