Green object left of nucleus

This object in one of two SDSS Field images looks like an artifact. But it is in two different SDSS DR images. To me it seems to be also present in PanSTARRS (esp. the i filter), so maybe not an artifact at all ( or asteroid for that matter).
If it is just a small and/or faraway foreground star then it should be in both SDSS Field images. Way too dim for a supernova.
Any thoughts? (Is it moving between SDSS DR9 and PanSTARRS??)
Galaxy is rotated 90 degrees in the field images.

Could it be just a round starforming area? The galaxy is starforming, and the colour of the object is rather similar to other small areas in the galaxy, especially in your SDSS DR9 image.

That is a possibility, but for now i disagree;
-
the colours in SDSS DR9 do not seem similar to me (on my screen), more light-green vs. dark-green
-
in the DECaLS SDSS image it appears as a sharp bright (artifact) green, starforming areas are usually blue
-
clearly visible in SDSS / DECaLS but hardly makes an appearance in PanSTARRS, only one filter really, a bit strange...
-
and the question still remains why it is clearly visible in one SDSS Field image but non-existant in another SDSS Field image, if it is a starforming area i'd say it should be clearly visible in both
My best guess right now would be some kind of dim (variable?) foreground star.
