Strange Arc Encirling Over 1/2 of the Galaxy

The galaxy appears to have 1 spiral arm at its lower right. There appears to be bright line nearly perpendicular to it. The line is accentuated dust lanes directly above and below it. There appears to be several bright patches extending from the left end of the "bright line" arcing to the middle of the left edge. The arc loops back over the top of the galaxy.

Sounds likely to me, except I think that the straight line might be an several background edgeon galaxies.
