The picture shows the galaxy from the side, and therefore this is an "edge-on spiral" type of spiral galaxy. It is recognized as edge-on spiral galaxies because bright central bulges can be observed. Approximately 77% of most perceived galaxies are spiral galaxies in the universe. Our galaxy, the Milky Way, is an example spiral galaxy.

Your classification (edge on) is definitely a valuable one. But you could just as well call this a barred (maybe spiral) galaxy with a noticeable bulge seen at an angle.
