You can see the areas where the images are sewn together. The bright star is Gamma Cetus γ Ceti. It is a double star, a blue and yellow pair. The SDSS image is overexposed, since SDSS is looking for faint objects. The stars would be smaller than a pixel.
It has proper motion of over 100 milli arc seconds / tear.
