Out of mild curiosity, what do you mean by "MTG"? How about "ETG"? Usually when an astronomer writes ETG she means (E)arly (T)ype (G)alaxy, which refers to the left hand region in Hubble's classic tuning fork diagram. This looks something like SBcd to me, which puts it way out on the bottom right branch of the tuning fork.

Early is old, M is "greenish" and L is late. The SHAPE of an object may or may not reflect age. Hubble scheme is general.
