Blue patch is a part of IC 0120

At first sight it doesn't look as if the blue patch next to IC 0120 is a part of the galaxy. The overall impression is that there is an overlap in the picture.
But a check of IC 0120 in cseligman.com, shows that there is no longer such a contrast between the blue patch and the rest of the edgeon. In this image the patch looks like an integral part of a blue starforming galaxy.

Evidently the appearance of a galaxy can differ a great deal from one image to another.

Looking at these images with a higher resolution from Pan-STARRS and DECaLS, it seems fairly obvious that the blue patch is no part of IC 0120 after all.
Perhaps the object is a starforming dwarf galaxy in front of the edgeon?
