I think the blue star is there, just hard to see.

Budgieye, Could it be a supernova that blew up between the photo from Gama and the SDSS. Just a guess. Magi

The first step in determining if it is a supernova is seeing if it is missing in other images. GAMA has the best resolution, but I think I see in in other images, taken before the GAMA image, so if I am correct, it is not a supernova.
