What's going on in this? There seems to be a decent amount int this photo.

Something exciting here. The nucleus is white. That either means blazar,(white) in a face on quasar, or an AGN (blue and red) mixed with star formation (green) to make white.
So we have to decide if we are seeing an edge-on galaxy, or a galaxy with a huge bar. I think I would go for edge-on.
It may be a binary nucleus, though the NED reference doesn't usually go into details so I haven't looked at it.
