Purple patch

It seems to be part of the galaxy. Maybe a #voorwerp? The nucleus of the nearby galaxy doesn't look very active.
It has the purple of a really distant galaxy, though.
It could be a red-blue binary star.

Very interesting purple color in SDSS. Can't find anything interesting about the galaxy or purple feature.
But galaxy looks a bit like (weak?) AGN in WISE. And purple spot really doesn't look like star(s) in DECaLS to me, more an extended source like a starforming area or voorwerp. I wouldn't bet on background galaxy, but who knows?
