Weird asteroid

  I wonder what are the extra blue blobs? posted by Ghost_Sheep_SWR

  It must be a software artifact. It doesn't look so strange on SDSS on DeCALS. It is on the edge of a field line.

  It's used to be a thumbnail processing flaw.

  The frame https://dr12.sdss.org/sas/dr12/boss/photoObj/frames/301/5636/4/frame-irg-005636-4-0064.jpg doesn't show this blue slide:
