Looks like an eye in the GAMA image.
On the Skyserver image it looks like the galaxy is surrounded by a starforming band.Posted

Isn't that the most convincing eye? I wondered about being a gravitational lens.I checked the colour in DECaLS, still just blue. But so thin.

Nothing in Hubble Legacy Archive, although quite a lot of observations around / nearby.
Move cursor over the footprint image to see all nearby observations centered on 176.26890 -2.44931
