Pink area in SDSS

Pink area is same z as galaxy, so likely part of the galaxy

SDSS

In SDSS there is a magenta cloud at 5:00
http://legacysurvey.org/viewer?ra=216.3700&dec=-0.0231&zoom=16&layer=decals-dr5
In DECaLS DR5 the patch is blue, the same colour as the big patch next to the core of the galaxy in the center.

Thank you. How exciting! The object below the galaxy has the right indigo (blue-violet) colour of a Voorwerp, doesn't it? Perhaps there is some connection with the pink/magenta patch inside the central galaxy, which is an AGN.

I was trying to get a good VSTKIDS gri image but apparently the Panchromatic Swarp Imager isn't sophisticated enough to handle Dec '-0.02295' lol. No matter what I do it crashes on these coordinates not other.
If anyone else want to take a shot at it: http://gama-psi.icrar.org/psi.php

HAHA you won't foil me you evil machine! 😛

Thanks! I knew you would succeed 😃 Would it be possible to get a good image of the lower object, the potential Voorwerp as well, please? My image of it is a bit murky, isn't it?
This is the best I can do:

Ofcourse I already tried that 😃 But when I include VSTKIDS Greyscale images it crashes again. So for this one we just have to trust it is actually made up of VSTKIDS images...

And the DECaLS SDSS + DECaLS DR5 images:
SDSS - DECaLS http://legacysurvey.org/viewer?ra=216.3666&dec=-0.0276&zoom=16&layer=decals-dr5
Looks more like two objects / areas to me, if they weren't that blue/magenta I would have said background galaxies. Ofcourse it is also possible they are a tidal product of the ongoing merger.
So is it me or is that 'articial' red line going from the galaxy to the blue objects in DECaLS DR5 also faintly visible in SDSS??
And why would you think you can't create the image yourself, just fill in coordinates, image size and what kind of colour image you want and presto!

Thanks! Your images became bright and clear.
In SDSS the object seems to consist of 4 parts, slightly attached, I think.
No, I can't see the red line in SDSS. Since it's obviously an artifact, it wouldn't appear in two different surveys, I suppose.

I think it's a reflection nebula

We can only see reflection nebulae that are in our own galaxy, here are some images.
4.4 nebula, supernova remnants, starbirth nebulae https://talk.galaxyzoo.org/#/boards/BGZ0000001/discussions/DGZ0000wrb?page=4
