Abe, what information do the nice colour differences convey? star formation in a dust cloud generated by a shock wave from some invisible centre? Objects are nice, but processes are even more interesting, no?

I don't know exactly, Wouter, I think this is a starburst galaxy, and it looks like it is made up of several blue and pink parts. It could be a quasar.
Maybe the central blue part is the core of the galaxy, and it is still in the process of forming. I am no expert, I hope the Galaxy Zoo scientists take a look at this galaxy. It sure looks intriguing!Posted
