Very unusual shape

  I’ve seen hundreds of galaxies on images and through the eyepiece by I’ve not seen anything like this before. It seems regularly shaped by gravitational forces so some resonance seems to be going on here?

  That IS unusual! Nothing comes to mind that even remotely resembles this.

  Some sort of late disk / spiral face-on merger?
